Overview A Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) is a paraprofessional who works under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide behavior analysis services. RBTs are responsible for the implementation of behavior-analytic treatment plans developed by the BCBA. Detailed Job Description Registered Behavioral Technicians are responsible for providing behavior-analytic services to individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and other related disorders. They work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement behavior-analytic treatment plans. RBTs are responsible for collecting data, monitoring progress, and providing feedback to the BCBA. They may also provide direct instruction, reinforcement, and other interventions to clients. Job Skills Required
• Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques
• Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and other related disorders
• Ability to collect data and monitor progress
• Ability to provide direct instruction, reinforcement, and other interventions
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and other professionals
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, or a related field
• Completion of a Registered Behavioral Technician training program
• Certification as a Registered Behavioral Technician
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and other related disorders
Job Knowledge
• Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques
