Overview A Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) is a paraprofessional who works under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide behavior analysis services to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. RBTs are responsible for implementing behavior plans, collecting data, and providing feedback to the BCBA. Detailed Job Description The primary responsibility of a Registered Behavioral Technician is to provide direct behavioral services to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. This includes implementing behavior plans, collecting data, and providing feedback to the BCBA. RBTs are also responsible for providing support to families and caregivers, as well as providing education and training to other professionals. Job Skills Required
• Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques
• Ability to effectively communicate with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work
• Ability to collect and analyze data
• Ability to provide feedback to the BCBA
Job Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training program
• Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
• Experience working with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities
Job Knowledge
• Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques
• Knowledge of behavior management strategies
• Knowledge of data collection and analysis
• Knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs)
