Detailed Job Description A Referral Specialist is responsible for providing support to patients and their families by coordinating referrals to other healthcare providers. They are responsible for ensuring that all referrals are completed in a timely and efficient manner. The Referral Specialist will work with the patient’s primary care provider to determine the best course of action for the patient. They will also be responsible for obtaining the necessary paperwork and information from the patient and the referring provider. The Referral Specialist will then contact the appropriate healthcare provider to arrange the referral. They will also be responsible for following up with the patient and the referring provider to ensure that the referral was successful. Job Skills Required
