Reports To: Head of Reference FLSA Status: Exempt

Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in digital librarianship and information management.

At least 1-3 years of experience in reference librarianship.

Proven experience in distilling complex research into succinct, accurate, and grammatically correct technical writing in response to research/reference requests.

Working knowledge of digital preservation standards and best practices in a professional environment.

Hands-on experience with metadata and taxonomies for digital collections.

Excellent written and oral communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

Must meet educational requirements prior to employment start date.

ALA-accredited master’s degree in library science (MLS, MLIS, or equivalent) and at least seven years of relevant professional experience.

Previous experience performing in-depth literature searches in a variety of scientific and engineering fields.

Experience with professional-level patrons in a library environment.

You will make recommendations for the purchase of disposition of materials in all formats, including equipment and/or technology capabilities.

You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.

You will compile selective and comprehensive bibliographies, both annotated and unannotated, on historical and current topics of user interests.

You will provide content for Library web, social media and current awareness services.
