Radiology Support Tech Jobs

Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self education, attends ongoing educational programs)

Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and vision of the organization

Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time.

Perform routine radiological x-ray as required. Provides direct patient care to all ages of patients.

Adheres to the hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines

Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures

Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or Red Cross

High School Diploma or GED

IEMA licensure or “notice of IEMA compliance and authorization to perform medical radiation”

A minimum of an Associate’s Degree or higher

Fulfills job duties in a high volume, fast-paced environment and meets productivity target.

Education:High school diploma or GED required

Experience: A minimum of1 year of experience in a healthcare setting or customer service role

Education:An associate or bachelor degree in business or healthcare administration or another related field preferred

Experience: Previous experience in Radiology and/or a high-volume call center preferred

Delivers exceptional patient care and customer service to ensure client satisfaction.

Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and congenital/acquired pathology.

Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area.

Knowledge of Imaging processes and fluoroscopic techniques, methods and equipment.

Knowledge of methods of positioning patients.

Knowledge of principles of image processing and development applicable to diagnostic imaging.

Knowledge of radiation production, positioning and radiation safety.

1 year imaging experience preferred

Valid BLS-CPR certification. Required within 3 months of hire

Prepares patient for diagnostic imaging procedures, explains procedures.

Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.

Certification by the State of California (CRT) required.

Certification by the State of California in Fluoroscopy required for Radiology Tech II.

IV contrast injections certification required within 6 months of hire if performing contrast injections.

MAB test required within 6 months of hire if assigned to work in the Emergency Department.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Required:

Less than 1 year experience in a customer service role

Basic computer and typing skills.
