Assist in the transaction management process for general market and SID offerings

Develop appropriate reporting tools to communicate with FNCM management regarding general Public Finance activities, including business development activities

Provide input and recommendations to manager to enhance departmental effectiveness and the strategic plan

Contribute to and support defined strategy, revenue targets, goals, objectives and activities with regard to individual, Public Finance, and Capital Markets

Manage operations and administration required in deal execution including cusip, DTC, MSRB, and State Street submissions

Develop strong working relationship with issuers, counsel, rating agencies and credit enhancers to serve as an effective FNCM Public Finance liaison

Work closely with researchers and portfolio managers to solve mathematical, empirical, and coding problems

Postgraduate degree in applied mathematics, quantitative finance, physics, computer science, or other technical field

2-5 years of industry experience developing quantitative equities trading strategies

Excellent mathematical, modeling and problem solving skills

Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Matlab or R

Experience with databases and unconventional data

Develop and maintain relationships with key partners and senior management to influence behavior and decision making

Superior problem solving skills; pragmatic approach to ensure limited resources are directed appropriately

8+ years of relevant experience

Experience providing financial analysis for monthly forecasts, strategic multi-year forecasts, and annual budgets

Proficient Microsoft Office skills with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint

Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Collaborate closely with sell-side and other buy-side analysts to help manage information flow

Strengthen coverage and industry knowledge by attending industry events, conferences, and speaking with third party professionals and consultants

Preferred majors: Economics, Math, Engineering, Finance, Statistics

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

Proven ability to contribute and manage time efficiently while understanding urgency

Extensive training in valuation and accounting from the UBS Research Academy

Python/C++ knowledge => Python or C++ knowledge

Solid analytical and numerical skills

Familiarity and practical experience with techniques such as machine learning, data mining

Experience with cross-platform development (Windows/Linux)

Knowledge and understanding of equity derivatives modelling or delta one products
