Project Senior Geotechnical Engineer Jobs in Iowa

Geotechnical design recommendations and supporting documentation for bridge and wall foundations (shallow and deep).

External stability analysis (bearing resistance, sliding overturning, eccentricity)

Settlement analysis (short-term, total, rate)

Identifying geotechnical risk items that may adversely impact design and/or construction costs/schedules.

Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects. Monitor quality standards and practices.

Lead technical training and make informed decisions based upon state of the art technology issues.

Assist in developing, communicating, implementing and regularly review systems, strategies, standards and processes (including environmental plans or health management programs) .

Regularly provide clear reports to project management.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training

Manage and coordinate multidiscipline engineering activities to ensure projects are executed in a safe, efficient, cost effective and timely manner.

Ensure the project conforms to the client's approved Basis of Design and all applicable regulatory and code requirements.

Identify, document, communicate and meet the client's requirements.

Minimum 18 years of professional experience in related field.

Minimum 15 years of design & Construction supervision experience as Geotechnical/foundation engineer in highways and bridge projects under ICB contracts.

Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Geotechnical engineering, postgraduate degree preferred.
