Participates in those surgeries assigned by the Orthopedic Service physicians, the chief PA and the Chief Resident.

Coordinates and provides clinical support for the NEBH Orthopedic Surgeons: Rounds on Orthopedic patients Performs Histories and Physicals, as needed.

Makes accurate identification of problems/diagnoses based on correct interpretation of findings.

Communicates with primary physician the plan of care being initiated or discontinued.

Acts as a liaison between Medical Staff and patients, and between Medical Staff and other allied health professionals.

Maintains current, accurate, medical record documentation including discharge summary page 1’s.

Basic computer knowledge and skills

Supervising Physician may required depending on the state requirement

Experience with Primary Care, Urgent Care or Occupational Health - preferred

Experience with mobile medical services - preferred

Knowledge of Military systems, protocols, and terminology - preferred

Able to work in various locations, including remote military installations

Under the direction of the attending physicians, executes a wide range of management plans for emergency patients.

Possess the maturity, self-confidence, and ability to follow complex patient management plans as directed by the attending physician.

Participates in the Department of Emergency Medicine educational meetings with students and residents assigned to the service.

Works closely with emergency department patients and their families.

Works as a member of the emergency team including attending physicians, residents, nurses, students, and ancillary personnel.

Obtains a detailed, accurate medical history and performs a comprehensive physical examination on patients.

A telecommuting schedule can be discussed with the hiring manager during the interview.

Conduct periodic quality assurance reviews of various MDO functions;

Monitor and update medical treatment guidelines, the prescription drug formulary, impairment guidelines and the medical fee schedule;

Collaborate with MDO staff and providers to ensure continuity of care for injured workers

$104,869 - $120,342 / year

Schedule will be Monday-Friday, 8:30AM to 4:30PM.

Maintains certification through required continuing medical education, licensing and testing.

Administers injections, immunizations, and oral medications. Sutures wounds and provides wound care and infection management.

Experience assisting in surgical cases.

Experience in treating patients independently in a clinic setting, under physician supervision.

Knowledge of the professional medical practice to give and evaluate patient care.

Knowledge of organizational policies, regulations, and procedures to administer patient care. Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures.
