Job Skills Required Physical Therapy Assistants must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work with a variety of patients. They must also have strong problem-solving and organizational skills. In addition, they must be able to follow instructions and work independently. Job Qualifications Physical Therapy Assistants must have a high school diploma or equivalent. They must also complete an accredited physical therapy assistant program and pass the National Physical Therapy Examination. Job Knowledge Physical Therapy Assistants must have knowledge of anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and pathology. They must also have knowledge of physical therapy modalities, therapeutic exercises, and patient education.
