Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required

Knowledge of developmental psychology, disease pathology and clinical needs of assigned

Knowledge of DSM5 (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders) diagnostic criteria, ICD10 and interquel standards

Minimum two years of experience in behavioral health setting

DISEASE MANAGEMENT PRACTICES: Applies knowledge of practices and interventions for specific populations with specific conditions.

Provides drug information and education to providers and staff via presentations, newsletters, formal utilization reviews, and one-on-one interactions.

DRUG INFORMATION AND PATIENT EDUCATION: Designs and delivers drug information and patient education.

Contributes expertise to multidisciplinary committees/teams in developing protocols/guidelines, pharmacy formulary reviews, and order sets.

Participates in continuous quality improvement activities and outcomes research.

PATIENT PHARMACEUTICAL CARE: Provides pharmaceutical care to patients.

Formal education as a patient care assistant or related education/experience is preferred but not required.

Requires the knowledge usually acquired in high school in order to use computer systems..

Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with parents, physicians, and other department personnel and coworkers.

Is certified in Basic Life Support Techniques (CPR)
