Performing Arts Department Coordinator Jobs

Required knowledge, skills, abilities and experience include but are not limited to:

Knowledge and experience working with sound, lighting and A/V equipment.

Under the direction of the Production Manager, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Gather all requirements, timing, details, A/V tech, chairs, tables, podium, and other necessary equipment.

Physically set up A/V and tech requirements, check and pretest mics, video, sound, and lighting.

Excellent diagnostic and testing skills, mixing audio, routing and patching audio feeds.

Assist Project Managers when needed with select oversight of performances and on-site program management (may require some evenings).

Manage Department calendar, scheduling and securing meeting space.

Manage Senior Curator’s complex calendars, setting up of meetings, often involving multiple participants

Manage performing arts commissions research/collection records, archival and digital databases, presentation efforts.

Arrange and manage visiting artists’ flights, hotel arrangements and general hospitality.

Demonstrated experience working with budgets (Excel) adhering to standard budgetary practices and fiscal controls.
