Patrol Agent I Jobs

Some experience in a security, police, EMS or fire setting. Comparable duties in the military accepted.

Knowledge of safety and security practices in a college setting.

Physical Requirements And/or Unusual Work Hours

Prepare written reports of work performed.

Alerts supervisors to traffic hazards or violations that could result in a vehicle being towed and/or booted.

Staffs special event assignments, including athletic competitions, homecoming and commencement.

High school or general education degree (GED).

At least six months experience in a related field.

An individual should have knowledge of Database software and Word Processing software.

Carries out tax rules and regulations and understands Cherokee Nation Tax Law 68CNCA.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Responding to electronic sensor alarms; interpreting and following tracks, marks, and other physical evidence; using infrared scopes during night operations.

Responding to aircraft sighting and other anti-smuggling activities and performing farm and ranch checks, traffic checks, city patrols, and transportation checks.

Occasional travel may be required based on operation needs.

Requires qualification for armed patrol agent commission issued by the Kansas City Board of Police Commissioners.

Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to interact and work effectively with people at all levels in an organization and outside

Excellent verbal & written communication skills

Valid driver’s license, with driving record acceptable to standards set by KCU's commercial insurance carrier

Demonstrate ability to make good judgments and independent decision

Ability to quickly respond to emergencies
