High school diploma or equivalent experience - Required

Basic Job Function and Responsibilities

13-week assignments at premium rate of $35/hr for up to 72 hours per pay period.

Checks and restocks patient care areas and unit supplies per unit policy.

Maintains a clean and neat environment in the patient care area.

Performs basic treatments, such as passive range of motion, simple dressing changes, and skin care.

Assists in training new associates by sharing knowledge and skills.

No prior experience is required

Prior work experience in a comparable health care setting is preferred

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

High school diploma or GED is required Must pass a basic dysrhythmia test prior to completion of orientation

Anticipated job posting close date:

Knowledge of medical terminology, including basic anatomy and physiology of the heart and conduction system.

Knowledge Assessment Tool; administered upon hire.

One (1) year of experience working in a hospital or ambulatory care setting preferred.

Ability to accurately interpret rhythm strips and recognize EKG changes. Must complete EKG Interpretation

Completion of a formal EKG Program

Two (2) years EKG interpretation preferred.

Computer skills including data entry and the EMR.

Previous experience in the medical field, or similar role is preferred.

Competent in delivering safe and effective patient care within limits of certification and hospital policies and procedures.

Knowledge of the continuum of care.

High School Diploma is required at time of hire.

Basic Life Support (BLS) issued from the American Heart Association is required at the time of hire.
