Overview Patient Account Specialists are responsible for managing patient accounts and ensuring that all financial transactions are accurate and up to date. They are responsible for collecting payments, processing insurance claims, and providing customer service to patients. Detailed Job Description Patient Account Specialists are responsible for managing patient accounts and ensuring that all financial transactions are accurate and up to date. They are responsible for collecting payments, processing insurance claims, and providing customer service to patients. They must be knowledgeable of medical billing and coding procedures, as well as insurance policies and regulations. They must be able to accurately enter data into the patient accounting system, and must be able to communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and other healthcare providers.
