Overview A Part-time Direct Support Professional (DSP) is a professional who provides direct care and support to individuals with disabilities. The DSP works with individuals to help them achieve their goals and objectives, as well as to promote independence and self-sufficiency. Detailed Job Description The Part-time Direct Support Professional is responsible for providing direct care and support to individuals with disabilities. This includes providing assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and eating; providing transportation to and from appointments; providing assistance with medication administration; providing assistance with recreational activities; and providing assistance with communication and socialization. The DSP is also responsible for monitoring the safety and well-being of the individuals they are supporting, and for providing emotional support and guidance. Job Skills Required
