Parent Recovery Advocate Jobs

Work with Development Disabilities and Disabilities Vocational Rehab Program and Support Enforcement, to assist clients in obtaining services.

Associates or Bachelor’s degree in human service major (ideal candidate can be working toward this requirement during employment in this position).

Maintain high ethical standards., including maintaining strict confidentiality and adherence to all Muckleshoot policies and procedures.

Coordinate and collaborate with Tribal and public social service programs.

Assist with Adult Protective Services investigation and provide, Domestic Violence assistance.

Work with local tribal entities in obtaining application information on clients through the General Assistance program and Work First.

Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Experience working with low-income families

Knowledge of health and medical terms

Ensure maximum enrollment by utilization of all conceivable means of recruitment

Assist families in carrying out health referrals and other social service recommendations

Experience with substance use recovery professionally or personally/relationally (if in personal recovery, must have at least four years of sobriety) preferred.

Parenting/Child Care experience a plus.

Possess excellent verbal and written communication, technology and interpersonal skills.

All service plans are holistic (addressing multiple life domains), strength-based, and developed and implemented by using our YAP Wrap model.

The Recovery Advocate is specially trained by YAP in substance use and recovery.

High school diploma or equivalent, Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
