Overview A Paralegal Assistant is a professional who assists attorneys in the preparation of legal documents, research, and other tasks related to the practice of law. They are responsible for providing support to attorneys in the areas of legal research, document preparation, and client communication. Detailed Job Description Paralegal Assistants are responsible for providing support to attorneys in the areas of legal research, document preparation, and client communication. They must be able to conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and assist attorneys in preparing for court proceedings. Paralegal Assistants must also be able to communicate effectively with clients and other legal professionals. Job Skills Required• Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
• Ability to conduct legal research
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies or a related field
• Certification from an accredited paralegal program
• Previous experience as a paralegal or legal assistant
• Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
• Ability to conduct legal research
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
