Packaging Operator 1St Shift Jobs in Iowa

Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.

No prior experience or training.

Sort and pack frozen egg products according to customer specifications while keeping pace with machinery and the conveyor system.

Read scales and check case weights according to customer specifications.

Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. safely.

Work in teams ensuring that the conveyor system does not back up and become jammed with product.

Calculating dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and vernier calipers.

Must have experience working with blueprints, drawings and engineering information

Knowledge in lasers including designing issues and maintenance

Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance

Knowledge of gauges, micrometers and calipers

One year of laser operation experience preferred

Comes into contact with and handles powerful rare earth magnets.

Performs special packaging projects as scheduled.

Maintains equipment in accordance with SOP’s and preventative maintenance schedules, and is required to train others in performing the job effectively.

Works with production planning on a daily basis to help determine an efficient production schedule.

Cases and palletizes finished product for inventory.
