Overnight Mental Health Tech Jobs

May have an equivalent combination of education and experience to substitute for both the education and the experience requirements.

May be required to handle aggressive patients using Client Management methods.

In lieu of vocational training, must have one year of experience as a Psychiatric Technician or Residential Treatment/Group Home worker, OR,

A UAP with Psychiatric experience.

Must be able to demonstrate basic patient care skills and the use of supplies and assigned equipment.

Must have Psychiatric Technician vocational training through a recognized organization, OR,

Demonstrated ability to provide case management services for people with severe and persistent mental illness in compliance with confidentially policies.

Responsible for client orientation including advising clients and significant other(s) of the services offered through the program and recommend services.

This position requires a valid and active QMHA credential certification through MHACBO upon hire.

Demonstrated ability to provide psychosocial skills training and implement elements of a treatment plan.

Knowledge of community resources and treatment agencies enabling appropriate referrals for specific client needs.

Provides services in multiple locations, including people's homes and the community. Participates in mobile outreach to individuals in the community.

Plan, prepare and lead psychoeducational groups.

Monitor unit patients and complete rounds as assigned.

Report all areas of concern regarding patient’s mental or physical status to the Charge Nurse.

Ensure precaution protocols are followed, and encourage patients to actively participate in all program activities.

Bachelors Degree in a Behavioral Health Science OR Equivalent work / volunteer experience

Previous experience with treatment of substance abuse and/or co-occurring disorders is required

Ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years of experience
