Outreach Counselor Jobs

Bilingual - both English and Spanish speaking skills.

Knowledge of student recruitment, admission and retention issues for students of diverse backgrounds.

Knowledge of recruitment and enrollment strategies for Latino students.

Assists with maintaining recruiting records of prospective and current students and/or potential degree candidates.

Prepares reports and proposals and responds to inquiries from students and state/community agencies.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Effectively manages the clinical operations of two satellite counseling and educational spaces.

Provides time-limited individual and group psychotherapeutic treatment, psychological evaluations, and urgent care and crisis intervention within satellite counseling and educational spaces.

Evidence of experience in developing and managing new clinical initiatives or systems of care

Specialized knowledge and expertise in working with students who hold (multiple) marginalized identities, particularly those who identify as LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC

Experience working in a university mental health service or a comparable healthcare system

Serves on an on call-after hours rotation with other CPS staff.

Experience working with people in mental health recovery.

Starting $17.00/hr - $1.00 wage differential for Medication Administration Program (MAP) certification.

Assist participants residing in a variety of settings to attain their individualized recovery goals and objectives.

Provide monitoring, as needed, to promote and maintain a safe living environment in the community for assigned individuals.

Manage leads and sales through the prospect tracking system and assist with Marketing Plans.

At least 2 years of related work experience required.

Implement agency practices including policies, procedures, shelter routine and expectations, as directed by the Shelter Program Administrator.

Ensure a clean, safe, therapeutic and healthy environment within the shelter program.

Complete the intake/admissions process for all potential shelter residents.

Provide supervision of shelter residents, ensuring opportunities to teach and role model, during all aspects of agency programming.

Facilitate group meetings and activities, both on and off campus, including outings.

Foster appropriate adult/child relationships; maintain appropriate boundaries.
