Outpatient Dialysis Registered Nurses are responsible for providing care to patients undergoing dialysis treatments in an outpatient setting. They must assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care of patients with end-stage renal disease. They must be knowledgeable in the principles of dialysis and the care of patients with chronic kidney disease. They must be able to provide patient education and support, as well as coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care for the patient. Outpatient Dialysis Registered Nurses must be able to monitor and adjust dialysis treatments as needed, and be able to recognize and respond to any potential complications.
