Optical Systems Project Engineer Jobs

Experience using MECM (SCCM), Jamf, AirWatch, or other central management tools.

Install, configure, and manage shipboard endpoints such as PCs, mobile devices, printers, and other smart devices.

Provide on-site and remote support for applications and hardware on our ships and on-shore sites.

Travel to remote ports to setup embarkation equipment and provide training and technical support.

5+ years of experience in technology roles, specific to computer systems engineering, or systems engineering and analysis.

Experience centrally handling Windows, MacOS, Android & IOS devices in an enterprise environment.

Strong verbal / written communication and time management / organizational skills

Decomposes and communicates design requirements to core technology engineering teams.

5+ years of related experience

Basic knowledge of vehicle systems

Basic knowledge of combat vehicle systems/vehicle power/data architecture

Experience with lens life cycle and specifications in production systems.

Python/MATLAB programming skills for data analysis.

5+ years’ experience with free space optical systems requirements development

Management of multi-disciplinary teams over diverse geographical locations

5+ years’ experience with design, analysis, and prototyping of free space optical communication systems; including link budget analysis

5+ years’ experience with system performance modelling using commercial software tools, such as MATLAB, Ansys, STK

Experience with Agile development framework and practices

Ability to manage proposal efforts and participate in ongoing business development

Experience in optical and sensor system design maturation, including requirement development from physical based modeling, and knowledge of fabrication/vendor processes.

Drive optical system requirements definitions. Flow down optical system requirements to sub-system and component level. Resolve requirements discrepancies at different levels.

BS in Engineering, Physics, Optics, Computer Science or equivalent work experience.

Experience in developing systems with multi-function/multi-disciplinary threads.

Experience in one or more system optimization and analysis tools, such as MATLAB, C++, or Java.

5+ years of experience in research or advanced optics development.

5+ years’ experience with free space optical systems requirements development

Management of multi-disciplinary teams over diverse geographical locations
