Receives training but uses some specialized skills where technical experience can be applied to assigned tasks. Assists more experienced Operator Technicians.

Entry-level; practical operating knowledge to perform job.

With guidance, ensures timely and accurate performance of responsibilities for a single trade, group of closely related tasks or functional area.

Work typically reviewed by others; work reflects developing competency and basic skills.

Requires previous experience using test equipment and calibration appliances. Additional experience with machinery repair and control systems preferred.

Begins to achieve primary certifications/licensures. Valid state driver’s license.

Strong communication skills with Machine Shop Supervisor, Leadership Team, and Manufacturing Department Management.

Ability to efficiently prioritize and switch between tasks while maintaining good organizational skills.

Displays the drive to further a career in fabrication/manufacturing/machining through the acquisition of knowledge and tools.

Performs a variety of inspection and gaging operations to ensure part quality to the documented quality requirements.

Display a willingness, aptitude and self-discipline to study the required material and meet all prerequisites to obtain water or wastewater certification.

Knowledge of process control techniques, maintenance procedures and safe practices.

Knowledge of regulatory rules is essential

Previous water or wastewater treatment experience is desirable

Operates a variety of equipment/machinery including: valves, pumps, motors, belt presses, disinfection equipment, vehicles, etc.

Conducts routine testing, monitoring and maintenance of production wells, water/wastewater unit processes and basic laboratory analyses.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING:

Typically six plus months of relevant training/experience in the assembly of digital/analog circuitry, devices, components or equivalent.

Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model preferred.

Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.

Regularly scheduled overtime is a requirement of this position.

Load Work Order files to CNC Router, Plasma machines, Omal and Edge Bander as required.

Stay current in TPM and basic mechanical adjustments on all equipment as needed.
