Associate Scientist, Biology (Ocular)

BS or MS with 2+ years of experience in cell biology, molecular biology, immunology, pharmacology or a related field of biology
Experience in standard cellular and molecular biology techniques (Cell culture, ELISA, Cell-based assays, Immunofluorescence, Western blotting, Microscopy, RNA/DNA isolation, qPCR)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience/exposure in rodent animal models (mouse or rat is fine)
Previous experience with ocular related projects is a plus
Design and conduct/execute in vitro, ex vivo and/or in vivo studies to facilitate drug discovery and development in various disease areas

Overview Ocular Recovery Technicians are responsible for the recovery and preparation of ocular tissue for transplantation. They are responsible for the collection, processing, and distribution of ocular tissue for transplantation. They must ensure that all tissue is handled in accordance with established protocols and regulations. Detailed Job Description Ocular Recovery Technicians are responsible for the recovery and preparation of ocular tissue for transplantation. They must ensure that all tissue is handled in accordance with established protocols and regulations. They must also ensure that all tissue is properly labeled and stored in accordance with established protocols. They must also be able to identify and report any irregularities in the tissue.

Ocular Recovery Technicians must be able to perform a variety of tasks, including:

• Collecting ocular tissue from donor sites
• Processing and preparing ocular tissue for transplantation
• Labeling and storing ocular tissue in accordance with established protocols
• Identifying and reporting any irregularities in the tissue
• Maintaining records of all tissue collected and processed
