Ocean Lifeguard Jobs in Pennsylvania

Must have current Lifeguarding and CPR /First Aid/ AED certifications.

Enforcing facility and University policies and procedures

Opening the facility before scheduled events

Acting as an on-site liaison for any needs our patrons or renters may have

Closing and securing the facility at the conclusion of events

STARTING EXPERIENCED LIFEGUARD POSITIONS Up To

Lifeguards MUST be a minimum of 15 years old by date of hire or the last day of the lifeguard course

Lifeguards MUST be able to work Labor Day weekend

Lifeguards MUST be able to work ALL WEEKENDS throughout the Summer (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

Lifeguards MUST conduct themselves in a professional manner and must be attentive and focused

Season ends Monday, September 4th, 2023

Experience with using logistics IT visibility platforms and tools to drive proactive management of ocean / air freight

Capable of working in a remote work group and being managed by a remote manager

Proactively measure and manage ocean freight capacity globally working with I/E procurement, carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and various sector representatives

8-10 years’ experience in transportation (ocean, air, international logistics required)

English fluency both written and verbal required; exceptional communication skills across global businesses (additional languages as an asset)

Experience directly leading cross-functional competencies, people, and teams

Must have current Lifeguarding and CPR/First Aid/AED certifications.

Have 1+ years of experience in aquatics (preferred)

Have an American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification (preferred, training can be provided)

Ensuring the safety and surveillance of all pool participants

Understanding and applying organizational safety procedures for the pool and aquatic areas

Maintaining organization and cleanliness of the pool deck, including skimming and brushing

Reports any unsafe and unsatisfactory conditions, no matter how minor, to the Pool Manager or a member of leadership.

Attends all scheduled staff meetings and required training sessions as established by the Pool Manager or members of leadership.

Inspects the pool bottom constantly as a safety precaution.

Monitors the pool for weak swimmers and acts when needed.

Requires swimmers entering the water to wear appropriate swim attire.

Enforces all pool and safety regulations is a fair and courteous manner.
