Assist in evaluation of patient/resident daily living skills and capacities to determine the extent of abilities and limitations.
Assist in administering programs involving functional skills including activities of daily, pre-vocational, vocational homemaking skills.
Instruct, motivate and assist, assist patients/residents in learning and improving functional skills.
Attend seminars and other educational programs related to occupational therapy as required to maintain active licensure status.
Design and adapt equipment and working/living environment
Assist in instructing patient/resident and family in home programs as well as care and use of adaptive equipment.

Maintains personal, professional and institutional certifications and regulatory requirements by attending conferences, committee meetings, personal development opportunities and outside educational programs.
Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, workshops and in-service meetings, etc.
Previous experience as a Hand Therapist is preferred
Develops treatment plans and carries out treatment for patients. Monitors and documents progress as appropriate.
Prepares written documentation as required by the profession and the department, such as
Upholds established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
