Overview Nurse Techs are healthcare professionals who provide basic nursing care to patients in a variety of settings. They are responsible for assisting nurses and other healthcare professionals in providing patient care, performing basic nursing procedures, and providing patient education. Detailed Job Description Nurse Techs are responsible for providing basic nursing care to patients in a variety of settings. This includes assisting nurses and other healthcare professionals in providing patient care, performing basic nursing procedures, and providing patient education. They may also be responsible for monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and providing emotional support to patients and their families. Job Skills Required Nurse Techs must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They must also have a strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. In addition, they must be able to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols. Job Qualifications Nurse Techs must have a high school diploma or equivalent and must be certified or licensed as a Nurse Tech in the state in which they work. They must also have a minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare setting. Job Knowledge Nurse Techs must have a strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
