Neuropsychology Resident Jobs

Develops means to promote intra and inter departmental operational objectives as established with upper management.

Provides clear direction regarding budget expectations to all subordinates that includes assigning work responsibilities, setting performance expectations, and defining desired outcomes.

Effectively communicates through appropriate means and forums (staff meetings, letters, performance competencies etc.) and maintains evidence in the work place.

Develops annual budgets on time, submits with supportive documentation and shares with departmental staff once approved.

Understands the implementation, coordination, management and reporting of clinical/translational research operations.

Knowledge and understanding of policies, procedures, and regulations governing human subject's research and incorporates them in the conduct of research.

Assures research information is collected and stored in a manner that is compliant with regulations/policies and good clinical practice.

Comprehends the Federal regulations and guidelines governing the protection of human subjects, e.g., FDA, OHRP, GCP/ICH , and HIPAA regulations.

Actively seeks new learning opportunities, seeing learning as a part of work. Develops and achieves personal and professional goals.

Communication (Novice): Clearly, effectively and respectfully communicates to employees or customers.

Effectively demonstrates time management skills in the delivery of patient care and/or supervisory roles.

Skill in budget preparation and fiscal management.

Assists staff to identify and address potential breeches in patient information management and confidentiality issues (HIPPA).

Assures proper cost controls that ensure quality of care while minimizing costs in supply management.

Eligible for board certification in neuropsychology, and experience in a rehabilitation setting

Maintains current training and certification of such current training.

Experience working with children and their parents.

Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Administers and scores more than 50 different verbal, nonverbal, written and computerized neuropsychological and psychological tests in outpatient and inpatient settings.

Reviews neuropsychological examination records and ensures that they are complete and accurate.

Ensures availability of tests and test protocols, assists in ordering test materials.

Assists in scheduling assessments for inpatient and outpatients.

Performs other duties as requested by senior management.

Knowledge of PC data entry is required.

Reviews test files to ensure they are complete and correct

Administers 50 different verbal, non-verbal and written neuropsychological and psychological tests

Scores tests using standard scoring methods

Maintains test files by ensuring raw data and scores are entered in the neuropsychology data base*

Bachelors Degree in Psychology or other Behavioral Science and prior neuropsychological testing experience preferred.

Must have good professional interaction skills, good observational skills and ability to record those observations.

Administer standardized tests of cognition as part of research protocols with neurocognitive outcomes

Score all tests administered, adhering to standardization methods or those provided by the neuropsychologist in a timely fashion

Creating a comfortable environment for children and adolescents in which to complete the testing

The technician will perform all duties under direct supervision of a licensed neuropsychologist.

Minimum – Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Science, Social Work or related field

Familiar with neuropsychological assessment and intervention computer mathematical and scientific reasoning and oral and written communication skills as appropriate required.

Research leading to Doctoral degree

Ph.D. D.Sc. M.D. in clinical neuropsychology or clinical psychology from an APA approved program.
