At least 2 years of experience working with hard (non-greenway) and soft surface trails

Proficiency with power tools and heavy equipment

Perform routine and non-routine trail maintenance and the construction of soft trails.

Assist staff to assessing trail repair needs and other Natural Resources staff in duties

Conducts trail surface inventory, remove limbs and debris; clears mud and water after storms and other vegetation clearance

Assistant Project Manager - Natural Resources:  Typically with up to three (3) years of experience and expertise

Associate Project Manager - Natural Resources:  Typically with up to five (5) years of relevant experience and expertise.

Assist or serve as project manager or technical lead on a variety of resource management planning projects

Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in biology, environmental science, natural resource management, geology, or other related field required;

Education - 1st Master's Degree - Plant ecology, forestry, or similar natural resources emphases.

Licenses & Certifications - Department of Interior Motorboat Operators Certification Course.

Standard Hrs: 37.5; Expected Salary Range ($32,000 - $40,000)

You will develop and review environmental documentation and planning submittals for Camp Pendleton.

·A minimum of two years of experience in natural resource management or consulting

·Demonstrated experience with state and federal environmental permitting.

·Demonstrated experience with NEPA document preparation.

·Wildlife surveys (burrowing owl, raptor, herps, lesser prairie-chicken, etc.)

·Special Status Plant Species Surveys

·Environmental planning and conflict analysis

Application of knowledge, skills, and abilities to evaluate impacts of various resource uses on vegetation and wildlife

Participation as part of a field crew, potentially acting as crew leader, on a wide variety of assignments

Maintaining field records and reports

Operation of scientific equipment such as GPS and GIS field mapping instruments

Interaction and coordination with professionals from other resource disciplines
