Natural Infrastructure Specialist Jobs

Experience training others in horticultural and natural resource management techniques.

Experience using Integrated Pest Management strategies to address pests.

Experience in plant propagation or greenhouse management.

Experience managing ornamental gardens. Preferably managing gardens within historic properties and culturally significant landscapes.

Experience developing planting and irrigation plans for water efficient landscaping.

A minimum of 3 years related research experience.

Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of research principles, concepts, practices and methods.

Managing transgenic mouse colonies. Includes genotyping, breeding, imaging, conducting minor surgical procedures, and maintaining compliance with animal protocols.

Replicate, refine and add/develop new research approaches based on project needs and the direction of the PI._x000d_ _x000d_

Perform general lab operating administrative duties, including ordering supplies, maintaining safety compliance, negotiating with potential vendors, and lab organization_x000d_ _x000d_

Monitor project developments on an ongoing basis and implement changes as needed. Present and participate_x000d_ in lab meetings._x000d_

Develop key consignors and buyer relationships while helping to manage existing client relationships

Knowledge of the auction business and/or retail trade in the US, and/or UK, Europe, and Asia

Train staff, volunteers, supplemental labor and other City staff in native plant identification and wetland management techniques.

Methods and techniques of integrated pest management programs

Principles, methods and practices of wildlife biology, multi-objective management of flood plains and watershed

Principles of recreation management in natural areas
