Develops, administers, and evaluates quality formatives and summative assessments that reflect a balance of content knowledge, creativity, and problem-solving skills

Experience in the use of educational technology

Designs lessons that provide opportunities for problem solving, creativity, and communication skills in relation to authentic, real-world problems.

Encourages, secures, and maintains the involvement of parents and other community members in support of theatre education

Required certification: Music, grades PK-12 (049) or Theatre or Drama, grades PK-12 (458) Master’s degree preferred

Three years of successful teaching experience in an urban school district preferred

Essential Learning Skills and Common Curriculum Goals.

Adhere to the federal requirement for a drug-free workplace.

Current concepts, methods and procedures for curriculum development and implementation.

Laws, rules, policies and trends regarding instruction.

School district policies and procedures.

Interpret and comply with laws, rules and policies.

Classroom duties such as planning, classroom management, teaching, assessing, grading.

Maintains order within the classroom setting in accordance with division guidelines regarding student behavior management..

Shopping for materials, obtaining production rights and research for projects.

Setting up auditorium for assemblies etc.

After school & weekend hours for production of plays and projects.

Planning for Festivals and Competitions.
