2 + years’ experience operating in field installation services or experience working on construction sites is preferred.

Experience with forklifts, aerial lifts and other heavy equipment; experience with power tools / hand tools is required.

Replace defective parts of machine or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts.

Align machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.

Connect power unit to machines or steam piping to equipment, and test unit to evaluate its mechanical operation.

Repair and lubricate machines and equipment.

2 years' recent verifiable related work history or educational equivalent

Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics preferred

Maintain and repair all mechanical parts and machinery in mill

Operate arc welder, cutting torch, hand tools, forklift and welding truck

Perform general maintenance in a safe and efficient manner and maintain a clean work area

Three to five years of prior experience in industrial maintenance with mechanical skills preferred

Certifications from a technical school preferred

Complete preventative maintenance checklists on equipment

Implement work orders for repairs

Report changes to maintenance plans

Lay out work plans based on current work orders

2-3 years experience with extensive knowledge of construction equipment & machinery

Job Training and Skills Development

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and detailed repair drawings related to construction equipment and machinery.

Rigging, moving and setting up equipment such as commercial HVAC units, using cranes and other machinery

Performing general maintenance on all plant equipment

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Manage inventory of serviceable parts required to maintain equipment.

Document and report maintenance work performed and advise of future requirements in a timely manner.

Education: High school diploma or GED

Experience: Two years of related experience

Experience in fabrication and installation, repair and maintenance involving hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, pumps, valves, pressure vessels and tools

Read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.

Dismantle machines, structures and equipment using appropriate tools.

Move machinery and equipment using appropriate tools.

Assemble and install machinery and equipment using appropriate tools.

Construct foundation for machines using appropriate tools and building materials.

Align machines and equipment using appropriate tools.
