Detailed Job Description Medical Lab Technicians are responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to help diagnose and treat diseases. They use specialized equipment to analyze samples of blood, tissue, and other body fluids. MLTs also prepare specimens for testing, record results, and report findings to physicians.
