Overview Medical Technologists, also known as Clinical Laboratory Technologists, are responsible for performing complex laboratory tests to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. They analyze body fluids, tissue samples, and other substances to determine the presence of normal or abnormal components. Medical Technologists work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, clinics, and laboratories. Detailed Job Description Medical Technologists are responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. They analyze body fluids, tissue samples, and other substances to determine the presence of normal or abnormal components. Medical Technologists must be able to accurately interpret and record results, as well as maintain accurate records of all tests performed. They must also be able to troubleshoot any problems that may arise during the testing process. Medical Technologists must be able to work independently, as well as in a team setting.
