Mechanical Project Designer Jobs in Florida

Manage multiple capital and maintenance projects, including design, purchasing, contract and construction management, financial, and documentation.

Prepare, review and update mill specifications and review “management of change” proposals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

•Prepare layout and detail drawings of machines, using knowledge of company products, purchased products and engineering practices.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

•Analyze quote package to determine the feasibility of the order.

Bachelors’ Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Urban Planning or other related fields. 2-5 years working experience.

Knowledge of design software including AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, V-ray.

Articulate and communicate the client’s vision, goals and objectives by establishing the direction, documentation and contract of the project’s design.

Conduct basic field measurements and surveys, document project’s existing condition and urban context.

Strong ability to graphically communicate design ideas. A deep understanding of the design process.

Customers, Controls Engineers, all levels of management, Machine Builders, Electricians, Vendors, and Suppliers.

3+ years related experience using SolidWorks 3D CAD or Pro-Engineering.

At least 3 years experience leading projects and a team of other engineers

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or 3+ years’ mechanical design experience preferably in the automation industry.

Proven experience putting together comprehensive design packages.

Take project assignment and direction from Design Engineering Managers

Evaluate specifications to plan procedures, starting and completion times, and staffing requirements for each phase of construction.

Review and have complete knowledge of job specifications, contract, warranty, close out documents, startup procedures and documentation.
