Chief Of Marine Operations

Bachelor’s degree and 5 years relevant work experience in the marine field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Cumulative 1-year experience working in a confined community such as aboard a ship, field camp, or remote field station.
Current certification in First Aid/CPR.
Current certification for oxygen administration for SCUBA diving injuries.
Experience troubleshooting and conducting minor repairs on SCUBA gear and compressors.
Experience operating vessels less than 40ft while safely deploying and retrieving SCUBA divers during drift dives.

Vessel Machinery Management – Perform minor repairs to all systems. Keep Captain informed of any deficiencies.
Passenger Management – Provide information and assistance. Resolve issues with passengers in a professional manner.
Five (5) years of experience in the above qualifications
Any other duties assigned by a supervisor and USF Senior Project Manager.
Knowledge and ability to operate and monitor main engines and auxiliary machinery on ferry vessels.
Familiarity and experience with vessels of at least 200 feet / 800 tons.
