Overview A Manufacturing Apprentice is a person who is in the process of learning the skills and knowledge necessary to become a skilled manufacturing technician. They are typically employed in a manufacturing facility and work under the guidance of experienced technicians to gain hands-on experience in the field. Detailed Job Description A Manufacturing Apprentice is responsible for learning the skills and knowledge necessary to become a skilled manufacturing technician. This includes learning the principles of manufacturing processes, safety protocols, and quality control. The apprentice will be expected to observe and assist experienced technicians in the operation of machinery, troubleshooting, and maintenance. They will also be responsible for learning the principles of product design, assembly, and testing. Job Skills Required• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and principles
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
• Knowledge of safety protocols and quality control
• Ability to use hand and power tools
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
Job Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Knowledge
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and principles
• Knowledge of safety protocols and quality control
• Knowledge of product design, assembly, and testing
Job Experience
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery
