Actively participate in ABS training opportunities to further develop knowledge and skills applicable to the department (ie. Rep. School).

Knowledge of and skill in farming operations and cattle handling

Mechanical knowledge and maintenance skills for emergency repair of equipment

Monitor calf and bull health for injury and illness and report to Veterinary department and Supervisor or Manager of department.

Be flexible with respect to job responsibilities and consistently strive to be an effective team member.

Develop new skills and assume greater responsibility within the department and organization.

Work Site Visits Will Be Conducted

Participates in emergency management activities and responses to disease outbreaks as assigned.

Performs periodic public education contacts with community media resources and organizations.

Inspector II – Must have general experience working with livestock;

Collects samples for testing from cattle, swine, equine, exotics, sheep, goats and poultry.

Enforces quarantines and other livestock disease control measures, including livestock shipment activities.

Maintains accurate and detailed work activity records.

Participates in emergency management activities and responses to disease outbreaks as assigned.
