Create and review 3D layouts to communicate and confirm lighting assembly designs.

Knowledge of daylighting principles and modeling techniques a benefit

Model, calculate, and analyze standard and unique spaces to develop creative lighting solutions that meet varying jurisdiction code requirements

Support project managers during the construction process to meet budget targets and streamline procurement, while maintaining quality design

Review and calculate code compliance of lighting systems (energy levels, controls requirements, dimming needs, etc)

10+ years of experience designing lighting solutions in a multi-disciplinary environment

Assist Designers in development of seasonal collections

Learn to create prints and yarn dye design

Assist in selection of Pantone standards for prints and solids

Learn about fiber content and fabric construction

Utilize Adobe Illustrator to create technical flats

Learn to identify washes and other fabric treatments, including denim

Proficient in remote team working via online platforms that involve conference calls and work-sharing.

Currently pursuing (or have completed) a Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Lighting Design, and Theater Design.

Interest in lighting design with an emphasis on architectural lighting design and daylighting

Eager to work as part of a multidisciplinary team

Ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas in an accessible manner.

Collaborate as well as gain guidance from design team through various design stages.

Working knowledgeable of Revit or other BIM drafting and presentation tools including Rhino3D, SketchUp, Lumion, etc.

Performs interior design assignments as needed; some overtime may be required

Currently a college student working to obtain a professional degree from an accredited program

Lead the optical quality testing and product certification strategies for all new and existing products.

Maintain technical leadership skills in subject area through ongoing self-training and company assigned training.

Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience

Experience in an optical engineering role, specifically illumination, lighting products and/or sensor design

Experience designing highly specified illumination patterns or optical assemblies

Working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, and

Microsoft Office knowledge is necessary

Experience with page layout and typography is recommended

Assist with work/projects as instructed

Create designs for print and digital applications

Some photo editing and cataloging
