Overview Lead Direct Support Professional (DSP) is a professional who provides direct care and support to individuals with disabilities. The Lead DSP is responsible for leading a team of DSPs in providing quality care and support to individuals with disabilities in a variety of settings. Detailed Job Description The Lead DSP is responsible for providing direct care and support to individuals with disabilities in a variety of settings. This includes providing assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and eating. The Lead DSP is also responsible for providing emotional support and guidance to individuals with disabilities. The Lead DSP is responsible for leading a team of DSPs in providing quality care and support to individuals with disabilities. The Lead DSP is responsible for ensuring that all DSPs are following the policies and procedures of the organization. The Lead DSP is also responsible for providing training and guidance to DSPs. Job Skills Required
• Knowledge of disabilities and their effects on individuals
• Ability to provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities
• Ability to lead a team of DSPs
• Ability to provide training and guidance to DSPs
• Ability to communicate effectively with individuals with disabilities
• Ability to follow policies and procedures

Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• At least two years of experience working with individuals with disabilities
• Certification in First Aid and CPR
• Valid driver’s license
Job Knowledge
• Knowledge of disabilities and their effects on individuals
• Knowledge of policies and procedures related to direct care and support
• Knowledge of safety and security protocols
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
Job Experience
• At least two years of experience working with individuals with disabilities
• Experience leading a team of DSPs
• Experience providing training and guidance to DSPs
