Laundry Helper Jobs

Minimum high school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Prefer one year experience as a Housekeeper

Cleans linens to department procedures and cleaning schedule

Takes appropriate actions to secure housekeeping supplies out of reach of residents at all times.

Post signs indicating safety hazard any time housekeeping activities pose environmental hazards to staff, residents, visitors or others in the facility.

Uses personal protective equipment when at risk of exposure to blood or other potentially hazardous body fluids.

Inspect laundry equipment visually and report any maintenance issues to the building management

Ensure all cleaning supplies are in stock and indicate any shortages to the general manager

Look at all of your linens and treat any stains that you find

Place all laundry in the washer and add the cleaning agents as directed

Take out terry and linens after washing and drying them following the manufacturer's recommendations

Good customer service skills and communication skills are also required.

The hourly rate for this position is $30.00/hr and will be based on experience.

Experience working in a healthcare environment in Environmental Services preferred.

Ensure that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as practical.

The Laundry Clerk receives/gathers and tracks all incoming equipment and tools while maintaining orderly inventory and storage of facility tools/equipment.

Performs duties which require through knowledge of tool control policies and procedures and tactful cooperation with all concerned departments.

Demonstrated experience in issues, receives, and stores hand tools and other facility equipment

Good oral and written communication skills.

Ensures dangerous hazardous materials/equipment are under constant visual supervision.

Performs other duties as assigned.
