Manage the implementation of the ground’s management plan

Inspects daily all areas to evaluate how well management and quality standards are being achieved

Education – after 6 months of full-time service education benefits are available for employee, spouse, and dependent children

Manage the financials for the department (invoice processing, inventory control, budget preparation, expense tracking, projections, advance ordering)

Annually update the Grounds Department Master Plan

Annually update the Grounds Department Landscaping Master Plan

13. Participate in the removal and disposal of hazardous materials according to established laws and regulations.

15. Utilize standard office equipment including a computer and assigned software.

17. Perform work from ladders and scaffolding as needed.

18. Attend and participate in various meetings as assigned.

19. Perform related duties as assigned by the Administrator to meet the particular needs of the building/unit.

Pay: $67,756.00 - $79,815.00 per year

Knowledge of sustainable landscape practices as related to irrigation, pest control, and vegetation management

Supervisory work experience in management of personnel or employee relations issues

Experience in grounds services management of a State facility, College or University, or other environment with extensive grounds

Certified Grounds Manager from the Professional Grounds Management Society

Certified Sports Field Management from the Sports Field Management Association

Demonstrated experience developing and implementing a strong customer service approach to work efforts while motivating staff in a challenging environment
