Observe animal experience and activity for general physical condition, obvious signs of illness, disease, and discontent

Previous veterinary experience preferred, but not required

Record information such as feeding schedules, appearance, and behavior of animals that are boarded, groomed, or hospitalized.

Handle animals as required and restrain animals

Walk hospitalized and boarded dogs several times a day to provide exercise and time for the elimination of bowels and bladder

Bathe, groom, and provide care to boarded and hospitalized animals

Minimum age requirement is 18 years old

Provides compassionate care to patients.

Can conduct oneself in a confident and professional manner even when stressed and/or focused on individual tasks.

Receives animals to be admitted, is responsible for their proper identification and for recording their respective locations.

Has the ability to communicate with owners and make them feel comfortable with leaving their pet(s) in our care.

Can feed each animal as prescribed by the attending doctor or technician or as the owner has requested and records appetites.

Experience which demonstrates strong dog and cat handling skills and comfort around animals of all sizes and temperaments

Skills for working with computers, and for providing terrific customer service to clients

Excellent cleaning skills in creating a sparkling environment and have considerable attention to detail

Physical abilities to lift 40+ pounds, stand, sit or squat for extended periods of time

This is an entry level position. Animal Care experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right person.

Provide excellent customer experience to all clients of the Pet Resort

Ensure all pets within the Pet Resort have met the health and vaccination requirements to attend boarding and dog daycare.

Medicate pets according to verbal and written instructions from clients or CVVH hospital staff

Monitor and accurately record the pet’s activities, including bowel movements, urination, food intake, medication administered, etc.

Follow all safety protocols and procedures.

Observe, monitor, and report any concerns regarding changes in pet’s behavior or health

Feeding and caring for dogs and cats.

Cleaning and maintaining hospital premises.

Assisting Doctors and Technicians when necessary.
