Overview A Journeyman Pipefitter is a skilled tradesperson who installs and repairs pipes, fittings, and fixtures for a variety of systems, including plumbing, heating, and cooling. They are responsible for the installation and maintenance of piping systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Detailed Job Description A Journeyman Pipefitter is responsible for the installation and maintenance of piping systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. They must be able to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics in order to accurately install and repair piping systems. They must be able to use a variety of tools and equipment, including pipe cutters, threaders, and wrenches. They must be able to identify and troubleshoot problems with piping systems, and make necessary repairs. They must be able to work in confined spaces, and must be able to lift and carry heavy objects. Job Skills Required
• Knowledge of plumbing, heating, and cooling systems
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics
• Ability to use a variety of tools and equipment
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot problems with piping systems
• Ability to work in confined spaces
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
Job Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an apprenticeship program
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass a background check

• Previous experience in a related field
