Experienced with sticking and gloving.

Journeyman Lineman Card or verifiable work experience

Constructs and installs overhead distribution lines.

Operates heavy and light equipment, including digger derricks, aerial lift devices and backhoes. Works with various tools of the trade

Digs hole/trenches, sets poles, climbs poles, strings wire, place equipment and testing systems.

Performs work on energized and de-energized

¨ Knowledgeable about electric utility services, products, service requirements and construction standards.

¨ Knowledgeable about codes, ordinances, franchise agreements and Blue Stake laws.

¨ Demonstrate leadership and planning skills.

3 to 4 years’ experience as a Lineman Apprentice or equivalent experience.

Must pass written exam and demonstrate climbing skills.

Digs holes, frames and sets poles, installs crossarms, pins, insulators, and related equipment by using tools as required.

Erects and replaces all poles and towers by using rope blocks, boom trucks, winch lines and associated tools and equipment.
