Minimum of 12-months verifiable tractor/trailer driving experience.

If applicant has less than one year of experience a certificate of completion from an accredited CDL training school is required

As a world-class company we are looking for CDL A Driver based at our facility in Alburtis, PA

This is a Jockey position from Monday to Friday 7pm to 3am

Some Shuttling will be required occasionally when needed with in 7 miles of the warehouse.

Starting Pay: $17.00/ hour - Depending on Experience

Weekly Pay - Every Friday

The current normal work schedule is Sunday - Friday (day-shift). Overtime work may be required at times.

Must pass a background check, drug screen and 18 years or older.

Prior experience jockeying trucks minimum of 48 feet

Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed is required

Shuttle loaded trailers to the facility and return with empty trailers to be reloaded.

Move trailers of shells and return the empties to be loaded.

Have empties in the appropriate docks to be loaded.

Ensure all trailers that are put in the dock are properly locked.

Monitor yard for unsafe drivers and non-employees; notify management

High School Diploma or General Educational Degree (GED), or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background

Experience in the transportation industry a plus although not required

Physical abilities include: standing, lifting, twisting, turning, climbing a ladder, etc.

Safely handle and maneuver tractor/trailers and other large equipment to facilitate the loading and unloading operations in the yard

Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections of the yard and dock equipment

Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills as well as the ability to embrace change.

One (1) year relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Knowledge of general warehouse practices.

Knowledge of various types of equipment and their controls.

Specific physical requirements may include:

Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects

Other duties as assigned by management

Make applicable truck moves by backing trucks up to the dock at the correct door

Ensure truck temperatures are set appropriately and operating properly to perform the route.

High School or GED or equivalent

Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Class A preferred

At least 6 months of Jockey driving experience.

Must be able to obtain Jockey Driver Certification.

Structurally and safely operate Jockey truck at determined speeds to maintain plant operations.

Transport chickens from the holding sheds to the receiving area.

Provide special awareness to protect product, shipping docks, and all personnel involved.

Must be able to perform strenuous work in varying temperatures and weather conditions.

Safe driving skills, ability to drive large tractor trailers and ability to use related delivery equipment.

Starts refrigeration units; checks units periodically

Pulls loaded trailers away from dock and secures trailer doors

Backing up trailers and moving them in a timely manner

Maintaining trailer yard integrity and accuracy

Two (2) years related driving experience is desired.

Have 100,000-mile tractor-trailer experience is desired.

Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.

Drive a tractor (semi-truck), maneuvering into position to attach trailer and coupling lines to secure.

Clean and spot trailers to specified doors or lot locations.

Inspect trailers for defects, perform preventive maintenance on yard tractor and submit inspection report indicating condition nightly.

Properly secure and strap heavy loads for travel, and demonstrate proficiency in Forklift Certification Training

At least 1 year of truck driving experience, CDL A license not required

Ensures that trailers are processed in the order designated by management.

Ensures that YMS (Yard Management System) is updated and policy followed. Keeping the yard organized and in order.

Yard checks are done periodically. Communicates with the gate, the dock office and management.

Must be able to perform the position responsibilities of the forklift operator.

Reading and writing skills required.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Complete final certification for all outbound loads

$25.37 - $28.51 per hour (contract rate) * FULL TIME * DAYS

*Transport trailers to and from off-site warehouse as directed, build and load pallets as directed.*

Complete VCR for jockey truck and forklift (if applicable)

Move trailers from lot to dock doors and back to lot as directed

Work with foreman and supervisor to move raw material loads to doors as needed
