As a Strategy & Management Summer intern you will

Strong interest in finance, operations, and/or investment management

Get hands-on experience working on projects that impact the business such as:

Analyzing current costs and estimates the cost or cost savings and enhanced benefits that may be achieved by implementing a recommendation.

Exceptional communication and presentation skills

Developed problem solving skills and a solutions-focused approach to addressing challenges

Outstanding teamwork and project execution skills with multitasking capability

Bachelor’s degree completed prior to start date (or equivalent experience and up to 1 year experience in a finance/analytical related role)

We’re looking for talent with demonstrated leadership capabilities, strong work ethic, effective communication skills, and intellectual curiosity.

Read and interpret relevant credit approval requirements to accurately input monitoring requirements and covenants into a standard compliance monitoring system

Analyze financial statement results and prepare reports to communicate financial performance and trends with Portfolio Managers, Relationship Managers, and/or Credit Administration

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Effective oral and written communication skills

Critically thinking to evaluate strategic rationale for a potential acquisition and how the target may create synergies with UHG’s existing capabilities

Basic knowledge of financial modeling and valuation techniques

**This Early Careers full-time finance position with Mergers & Acquisitons will be available starting in June 2024**

Contribution to investment strategy formulation and portfolio construction

Collaborate closely with Portfolio Managers to support customer relationships. Primary responsibilities will include:

Support Portfolio Managers to manage an assigned portfolio of customer relationships

Assist Portfolio Managers in preparing and presenting credit requests for credit approval

Assist with the completion of other transaction due diligence, receipt of customer's financial reporting requirements, credit metric trends
