Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

Manage visit prior authorization and referral requirement.

Previous experience working in healthcare.

Previous experience scheduling of patients.

Previous experience with answering phones, greeting clients and customers in person.

Excellent verbal, listening and written communication skills.

Knowledge of pediatric development, work experience in clinic or hospital setting

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Psychology or related field.

Bayley Scales Infant Development Testing Experience.

Working knowledge of computer software.

Administers psychological tests, observing and evaluation patient performance and making necessary changes in procedure.

Experience in Medical Office work and capable of using office equipment preferred.

Updates patient information, collects co-pays, provides any necessary forms needing completion, obtains signature as necessary. Maintains medical records.

Handles telephone calls in an efficient, friendly manner, taking clear and understandable messages when needed. Deals with customer needs expeditiously.

Greets Patients and directs them to the appropriate area.

Schedules appointments and revises schedules for patients as necessary. Assists in scheduling patients for follow-up appointments in other departments and clinics.

Daily preparation of Patient chart for appointments, with all necessary paperwork attached.
