Intern Electric Mobility Engineer Jobs

Regular and proactive communication to management of project issues, delays, risks with potential solutions and needed resources.

5 years of OEM or Tier 1 experience, preferably on HEV, PHEV, or BEV platforms.

Familiarity with High Voltage EE system development and vehicle integration.

Develop necessary engineering interface documentation (including device transmittals, BOMs and harness schematics) and PLM documentation (including DFMEA, PFMEA, and DVP).

Lead the Design and Release process of high voltage and low voltage electrical system and related components

Work with suppliers to ensure that electrical component specifications, design quality and timing expectations are met.

Work directly with engineering, operations and change management teams to implement solutions designs.

Work with management and the strategy team to define long term solution & environment roadmaps

Develop solutions that meet business and technical requirements for associated platforms.

Work with Security & Compliance teams to ensure products and associated applications meet requirements

Work to reduce tech debt; routinely look for and offer up rationalization proposals

Experience with TruPhone & Calero

Knowledge of FAA aircraft certification requirements for Part 23 aircraft

Basic knowledge of wire harness fabrication and installation techniques.

3 years minimum of related experience in Aerospace and/or automotive industry.

Familiar with the design controls, ISO and AS9100 requirements.

Must have hands-on experience using shop tools and calibrated aerospace tooling including torque wrenches, crimping, and striping tools.

Experience working in a product development environment.

Experience in E-Motors prototyping and production Materials knowledge in E-Motors subcomponents

Familiarity with automotive product development processes and project management

Experience with Electromagnetic Principles and Analysis (Finite Element Analysis, Simulation, and Modeling)

Knowledge of different E-Motor technologies, IPM, IM, Axial flux, SRM Knowledge of different E-Motor Cooling technologies; Water, Oil, or Hybrid

Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work both independently and with others

Design for Six Sigma Blackbelt certification

Requirement-Test Case management tools (Polarion preferred)

Experience with testing electronic, automotive, aerospace, or vehicle components

Experience in using lab equipment (Environmental Chambers, Oscilloscopes, E-loads, VNA, TDR, and spectrum analyzer)

Experience with Ubuntu and Python

Systems and networking foundational knowledge (systems architecture, memory hierarchy, storage subsystems, LANs, routing)

Setup peripheral equipment including power supplies, coolant pumps, network traffic generators and transceivers
