Insurance Verifier Jobs

Knowledge of Health Care plans. Experience with Passport OneSource and Medi-HMO plans a plus.

Knowledge of various programs used to verify eligibility and benefit information.

Knowledge of medical terminology and general knowledge of third party payors.

One (1) to two (2) years admitting/registration or equivalent healthcare experience preferred. Prior Insurance Verification experience preferred.

History of and currently exhibits excellent customer service skills.

Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes.

Must have previous professional experience working in the specified language

Strongly preferred, formal education a the secondary level in the specified language

Preferred, formal education at the post-secondary level in the specified language

Must have native-fluency in the specified language

A plus, Masters or PhD level studies in Linguistics, Translation Studies, or in the specified language

Experience in GHG/Sustainability/Air Quality and/or related disciplines required

Demonstrated knowledge in GHG Inventories and/or Air Quality Compliance required

Monitor and manage the accounts receivables for all invoiced Verifier Clients

You will obtain insurance pre-certification, verification, and interview patients prior to surgery

You will verify patient eligibility, authorizations, benefits, and claim information with insurance companies and 3rdparty payers

Refers patient accounts to financial counselors when further explanation/education is needed regarding denied authorizations, out-of-pocket liabilities, coverage options, payment plans, etc.

with extensive knowledge in third party, payor/regulatory agency requirements.

Collects out-of-pocket liabilities from patients upfront and applies, adjusts, and reconciles daily point- of-service cash reports

Performs other clerical duties as assigned by Manager, Patient Access and/or supervisor(s)

Requires two to three years of demonstrated hospital and patient accounts experience

Experience in basic computer software programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook)

Assists with other responsibilities of center as deemed necessary by management.

Recognizes patients’ rights and responsibilities and supports them in performance of job duties

Adheres to safety policies and procedures in performing job duties and responsibilities

Participates in continuing education and other learning experiences

Shares knowledge gained in continuing education with staff
